Korean giant Samsung unpacked its next phablet in the Galaxy Note series today during IFA in Berlin, Germany. Samsung Electronics’ Marketing manager David Park said that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be hitting the shelves in 149 countries at your nearest stores on 25th September at an unannounced price. The device will be made available in more countries in 2014. Note 3 will be available in three different models Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9000, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9002 with dual SIM card support and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 with LTE connectivity.
Note 3 features a Super AMOLED display. 386 Pixels per inch are packed in a 5.7 inch full HD display in a mere 0.33 inches thick, 3.12 inches wide and 5.95 inches long body. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 weighs 168 grams and is 0.04 inches slimmer and 15 grams lighter than Galaxy Note 2. The LTE model of the device will be running on a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor and the 3g version will be power by two Quad-core processors. Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come with 3 gigs of RAM. 32/64 gigs of internal storage is further expandable up to another 64 gigs via a micro SD card slot. Samsung’s newest phablet will be running Google’s latest Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) with TouchWiz UI.
Equipped with a 13 Megapixel primary and 2 Megapixel front facing camera, the device is capable of recording 4K videos @ 30 fps and 1080P videos @ 60 fps. Supported by 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery Note 3 includes sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture. It can be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G network, HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 3g network and LTE. You can share files with other devices through NFC and Bluetooth v4.0 (LE). Files can be transferred to and fro your computer via microUSB v2.0 port.
The phone will be available in 3 different colors, jet black, classic white, and blush pink. When held in hand the leather like soft back cover definitely gives a feel of an expensive leather-bound journal, which it is definitely going to be. The Flip Wallet leather covers will be sold separately in multiple colors.
